Hi! I’m James, a filmmaker originally from Monterey, California. Drawn first to the dramatic California coastline and later to the wild beauty of the Sierra, I’ve built a career in video production working with a wide range of clients, from local businesses and nonprofits to national brands and documentary projects.

Filming weddings is what truly inspires me. I’m drawn to the real, unrepeatable emotion of a wedding day. Each film I create through Tahoe Film Company is meant to be more than documentation. It’s a cinematic reflection of your story, crafted to feel both timeless and deeply personal.

I’m also a husband and father, with a wonderful spouse and two kids. My family continually reminds me what love really looks like, and that perspective shapes how I see and tell every story.

This includes candid moments, behind-the-scenes clips, and key highlights, all delivered within 48 hours so you can relive and share your wedding almost immediately.

  • Your highlight film is typically delivered within 6–8 weeks, with complete edits such as the ceremony and speeches following within 10–14 weeks. Enhancements like interviews or archival films are delivered as their own premieres.

  • Yes. We record professional audio throughout the day — vows, speeches, and key moments are preserved with the same care as your visuals.

  • We welcome your input, but all music must be licensed. The default for every film is a custom score, composed specifically for your story. If there are songs you love, we’ll either find licensed versions or weave their influence into the custom music created for your film.

  • Absolutely. While Tahoe is home, we film weddings across the country and abroad. Travel details are arranged during booking.

  • We focus solely on filmmaking so we can deliver the highest level of craft. We’re happy to recommend photographers whose work pairs beautifully with ours.

  • Once you’ve chosen your collection, we’ll send over a simple agreement and retainer invoice. Your date is reserved as soon as both are completed.

  • We recommend reaching out as early as possible, since we take on a limited number of weddings each year. Many couples book 12–18 months ahead, but if your date is sooner, we encourage you to inquire — we may still have availability.
