I’m James Coleman, a filmmaker originally from Monterey, California, now based in Reno, Nevada. Drawn first to the dramatic California coastline and later to the wild beauty of the Sierra, I’ve built a career in video production working with a wide range of clients, from local businesses and nonprofits to national brands and documentary projects.

Filming weddings is what truly inspires me. I’m drawn to the real, unrepeatable emotion of a wedding day. Each film I create through Tahoe Film Company is meant to be more than documentation. It’s a cinematic reflection of your story, crafted to feel both timeless and deeply personal.

I’m also a husband and father, with a wonderful spouse and two kids. My family continually reminds me what love really looks like, and that perspective shapes how I see and tell every story.
