The Edit

Every wedding film I create is built from the ground up — carefully, intentionally, and completely by hand. What you see in the final edit is the result of weeks of creative work across every detail, from custom-composed music to cinematic color grading.

This page is here to give you a transparent look at what actually goes into bringing your story to life.

1. Story Curation and Culling

After your wedding, I go through every frame of footage captured throughout the day — often many gigabytes of material. I sort through every shot, every laugh, every exchange, to find the moments that feel most emotionally honest and visually powerful. This is where your story begins to take shape.

2. Audio Sync and Sound Design

Clean, natural audio is the foundation of a great wedding film. I carefully sync multiple audio sources — from lavaliers, recorders, and cameras — to make sure every vow, toast, and laugh sounds exactly as it should. From there, I mix and balance everything so the music, dialogue, and ambient sounds all work together seamlessly. The goal is simple: for the audio to feel effortless, real, and emotionally true to the moment.

3. Custom Music Composition

Every single film I create features custom music, written and built to fit your story — not chosen from a template or library preset. The pacing, tone, and emotion of your music are crafted around your vows, your energy, and your day. It’s what gives each film its unique rhythm and soul.

4. Editing and Story Construction

Once the music and sound are in place, I start the process of editing — building the rhythm, emotion, and narrative that make the film feel alive. Every transition, cut, and beat is chosen intentionally to create pacing that feels cinematic but true to you.

5. Color Grading and Visual Finish

When the story is complete, I move into the visual finish. Each frame is balanced for light, color, and tone to achieve the cinematic Tahoe Film Company aesthetic — natural, timeless, and immersive. Color grading is one of the final steps, and it’s where the visual poetry of your day really comes to life.

6. Final Mastering and Delivery

Before I deliver your film, it goes through a full quality review — checking for sound consistency, visual polish, and pacing flow. I then export multiple formats optimized for streaming, social media, and archival preservation, so your memories are ready to last.

Your film isn’t a product — it’s an original piece of art. Every detail, every note, and every frame is built specifically for you.
